Two bombs have exploded in Algiers, the capital of Algeria, killing at least 47 people, most of which were children on their way to school.
The explosion took place in the centre of the city, which is near the constitutional court. The second was near the United Nations offices in the Hydra neighborhood. At least 30 were killed in the first blast, with 15 killed in the second. Both blasts occurred at least 10 minutes apart from each other.
No group has yet to claim responsibility for the blasts, but officials believe that the attacks were carried out by Muslim extremists.
