Njugo Demba ‘Nyren’ fires EFB’s only goal in their weekend clash against Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
Njugo who could only managed 50 minutes of the encounter was carried off the field when he was badly hit on the knee.

The goal which came in the 30th minutes of the first half was one of many in the young Gambians glittering career. Even though the assistance have been coming in all forms, Njugo have failed to score in EFB’s entire October fixtures.

Speaking to Njugo whilst dinning in a top Copenhagen restaurant on the eve of the MTV Europe Music Award Njugo said, “Am happy to have scored because we needed those three points as we move towards the end of the season”.

Asked about the extend of his injury that led to his substitution, Njugo said “ it was bad, I had to go for a scan today and club doctors will let me know tomorrow how soon I should be training. It was a very acute pain But I am hopeful that it will be ok because I am able to walk and hopefully go jogging after seeing the doctors “.

With barely three more games to go before the end of the Danish SAS Ligean, Kobenhavn are comfortably sitting on the top with 33 points whilst Midtjjyland followed closely on 30 points whilst Njugo and EFB climbed to 6th with 22 points.

The Gambian international who made his debut against Algeria last month is in high spirit and looking forward to the taking on Guinea in March next year.
