To build muscle you will need to know what to eat. Your diet is every bit as important and the workout and weight lifting you do. In this article we will look at the foods that build muscle to help you get the results you want. We will divide it into protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber.
First or all you need to eat a high protein diet. This is the the most important thing that will help you build muscles. You should eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of your body weight daily. You do not want to exceed the maximum amount that your body can handle.
This is two grams per pound of your body weight. You will not need to eat more. You will just need to eat smarter. You can find protein in meats such as steaks or soybeans, whey protein and egg whites.
Secondly you should be eating carbohydrates to help you keep up your energy level up when you are working out. Carbohydrates can be found in rice, potatoes and pastas. You do not want to overeat on carbs, but you definitely need this for a great workout.
Thirdly you need to have some fat in your diet. If you cut fat out of your diet your body will feel like it needs to store fat in reserve. This will have the opposite effect of building muscles. Low fat cheese or milk instead of regular is one example. Sherbet ice cream instead of regular. Marinara sauce and not alfredo. There has been a lot written about low fat foods and you can find them everywhere you shop and in restaurants.
Fourth you should eat fiber This will help with the carbohydrates that you need and you will be helping your body from storing to much fat. Fiber rich foods are oatmeal, fruit, vegetables, and wheat. Eating plenty of fruits is a good way to satisfy any craving you might have for sweets as well.
The food to eat to build muscle is just as important as the workout. So you need to educate yourself on bodybuilding as well as on the correct diet for bodybuilding. You will not get the results that you are looking for if you don't know what food to eat to build muscle. You can help your muscles grow faster when you have the correct weight training and the correct diet.
