The 2006 New Jeshwang Nawettan League trophy was last Sunday claimed by Sankung Sillah FC after beating James FC in the Final.

The 90 minutes, which ended goal less draw, produced thrilling performance from both teams. Despite numerous chances from either side, they failed to find the back of the nets. Sankung Sillah finally clinched the trophy after their 4-2 win on post match penalty kicks.

Speaking to Pointsport the Head coach of Sankung Sillah Alagie Jallow commended his boys for the true commitment during the nawettan championship.

“I was not surprised with the result as my team is made of young and talented players,” he concluded.

As winners, Sankung Sillah went home with a trophy and cash prize of D2,000 while James FC received a consolation prize of D1,500.
