Says Police Prosecutor

Superintendent Kinteh, the prosecutor in the ongoing trial of the former NAWEC boss, Abdou Jobe, and the former Power Supply Director, Tijan Bahoum, informed the court yesterday that investigations into Mr. Jobe’s stewardship at NAWEC “are yet to be completed.”

He said the police are doing everything possible to proceed with the case but that since the investigation is still going on, the police have no option but to apply for an adjournment.

In her ruling, magistrate Mboto stated that since the matter is under investigation the court has no alternative but to adjourn the case to 18th December 2006 to allow the investigation to be completed.
