Gambia Chambers of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) will organise its annual award dinner for 2006 on Friday, 19 January at the Kairaba Beach Hotel at 8.00pm.

According to a statement from GCCI, the occasion is held annually to recognise excellence for remarkable performance of entrepreneurs and enterprises in the private sector, adding that this year’s award will be given in six different categories.

“Whilst the occasion avails the opportunity for the private sector to dine with friends, families, peers and partners in development, it also serves as the platform to recognise excellence for remarkable performance of entrepreneurs and enterprises in the private sector,” the release stated.

The chief guests of honour for the dinner are His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Dr Alhaji Yahya Jammeh, and the First Lady Madame Zainab Jammeh.
