NIA diamond case deferred

Lamin Jobarteh, one of the Defence Counsel in the on-going NIA diamond case on Tuesday informed the court that the state counsel is indisposed and that he is travelling on Friday.

Counsel Jobarteh, who is supposed to continue making his no-case-to- answer submission told the court that he would have finished his submission yesterday.  The case was then adjourned to 23 October, 2007, for continuation.

The six NIA officers: Lamin Drammeh, Basiru Jabang, Fabakary Barrow, Lamin Sanneh, Kajali Jawara and Salimina Drammeh, are all standing trial on three count charges, including theft.
