As Complainant Seeks Alternative Resolution
The Dutch national who took Julakay Holdings to court for the recovery of D200,000, is now seeking an alternative resolution to the case.
Mr. Bart Kroesen dragged Julakay Holdings, his business partner, to court for alleged breach of trust but in another twist to the case, the lawyers for Julakay Holdings and Mr. Kroesen yesterday sought to withdraw the matter from the court so as to find an acceptable alternative for resolving the matter.
The two counsels, Badou S.M. Conteh and Lamin Ceesay, would report the outcome of the matter to the court early next week.
Mr. Kroesen apparently felt aggrieved with the proprietor of Julakay Holdings, Ansumana Marenah, for allegedly betraying his trust. He was claiming from Marenah the sum of D200,000 for a concrete mixer as well as interest at the prevailing commercial bank rate plus costs.
Julakay Holdings is a company specialized in general construction as well as hire of heavy construction equipment.
