After three months as PS, Baba Marong Resigns

Confirmed reports reaching this paper have relayed that Mr. Baba Mustapha Marong, the Permanent Secretary at the state Department of State for Communication, Information and Technology, on Thursday resigned as Permanent Secretary barely three months after his appointment to the post.

Mr. Marong is reported to have handed in his resignation on Thursday to the Secretary-General and Head of the Civil Service but no reason has been advanced to this paper as to what is responsible for Mr. Marong’s resignation.

According to our source, Mr. Marong is yet to be replaced at a time when the Secretary of State for Communication, Information and Technology, Neneh Macdouall Gaye, is herself reported to be out of the country on official duties.
