CAG wants reduction of prices

The Community Assistant Group (CAG) is campaigning for the reduction in prices of basic commodities due to the sharp appreciation of the dalasi against major currencies.
Buba Sarr, chairman of the group told the  Daily Observer that they  will embark on a nationwide tour to sensitise bussinessmen and the entire populace on the need to reduce the prices of basic commodities to commensurate with the current exchange rate in the local market.

“ Just recently, we mounted a sensitisation campaign from the Greater Banjul Area to Kartong and we will proceed to the rest of the country soon. As at now, we have been receiving some positive information in the  areas we covered,” he said

Yusupha Sanyang, Vice Chairman of the group who also spoke to our reporter solicits for support from the government to enable them to effectively carry out their functions.
