The Grade six students of St Therese Lower Basic School recently contributed a total amount of D 1000.00 to support their sick classmate, Glen Bangura who was in dire need of support to undergo overseas treatment.
The fifty students with their class teacher Sir Larry commonly known as Chief came up with this sum after an appeal was launched to support young Glen who is suffering from heart complication.
Speaking to this paper, Sir Larry commended his students for their kind contribution to help their friend and classmate.
For his part, Glen Bangura, 13 thanked his classmates for coming to his aid adding: “I’m thankful to our class teacher, my classmates and everyone who has supported me in one way or the other,” he said.
