Commit set to bridge digital divide

The Communications and Information Technology Enterprise (Commit) on Wednesday held a press briefing to enlighten the public on the introduction of their new products in partnership with overseas trading, a sole distributor of Richo products in the world.

Commit is a registered company in The Gambia and USA dedicated to the provision of high quality and affordable information and communication technology products and services to institutions and individuals in West Africa.

Speaking to journalists at the company’s head office at the FIB building, along Kairaba Avenue, Rony Tabet, Managing Director of Overseas Trading said his mission to the country is as a result of a consultative meeting with Commit’s officials to partner in Business.
 
According to him, Richo is a company in Europe that produces copier, computer accessories among others. He added that with the advent of modern technology, his company deem it necessary to make sure that Gambia also benefit from their product.

He reaffirmed his company’s support to make sure that they meet the need of Gambian people with their simplifying products that they are demonstrating in the world.

For her part, Hadijatou Scattered-Janneh, marketing manager of Commit, The Gambia, gave a brief background of the products they sell. She said they sell computer and it accessories, copier, storage media, scanners and that they also produces high quality promotional materials such as interactive multi-media CDs, DVDs, among others.

She further welcomed the Overseas Trading and Richo Company to The Gambia and acknowledges their partnership with them as a way forward in the business industry
