Wrestlers association gets new faces

The Gambia Wrestlers Association on Saturday ushered in a new executive committee that will steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.

Saturday’s triennial congress, saw Mr Matarr Jarju elected as  the new president, replacing Abdul Shyllon.

Mr Abdoulie Ablo Bojang was named the new vice-president, whilst Ebrima Sanyang was elected the Secretary General with one Awa Njie serving as his assistant.

The out-going president, Abdul Shyllon bounced back as the treasurer, while Chondi Camara was elected his assistant.

The auditor post will be manned by Dino Jarju, while Yero Bojang was elected the organising secretary.

The association commended all stakeholders whose tireless guidance and support ensured a successful and peaceful congress.
