A fatal adventure

Mr Editor,

Yes, it is true that Allah Almighty legalises man’s exploration of the land, the sea, the sky and even beyond in search of knowledge, fortune, etc to better his life and develop his world.

But this doesn’t mean that a reasonable person should board a below standard canoe sailing through the Canaries to reach Europe in search of greener pasture. Although death can come at any time and place as predestined by Allah as, the perpetrators argue, man is created with senses to evaluate, analyse and judge between risky and safe undertakings which makes him superior and different from other creations.

Reaching the targeted destination safely is an uncertainty as are  leavinsg at will and getting a job. Should one risk his life knowing this?

My advice to my fellow youths is to desist from this fatal journey. When your time comes you will get your own share of the bonanza.

Spare your precious lives for your families and for The Gambia as the youth are the productive population and future leaders of every country.

Thank you for the provision of space.
