The Gambian contingent in the United States is slowly making progress, but a breakout player has not emerged yet. I have my hopes that Jassey would emerge as a consistent player, but we will have to wait a little longer and see what happens. Below is a summary of where they are and how they are doing.

Saihou Jassey- Bradley is 15-9 on the year. Jassey is averaging 1.9 ppg and has played in 8 games with an average of 6 minutes per game. Gallo Cham - Began the season starting 9 of 10 games. Averages 2.7 ppg and 5.0 rpg. The team (University of North Florida) holds a 2-20 record.

Amadou Sambou-Reclassed as a Junior; he is playing sparingly for Mt ZIon Christian Academy in North Carolina. Amadou self reported that FAMU and possibly NC State might be recruiting him.

Dawda Njie -A senior at David Emmanuel Academy in Georgia. Presently averaging 14 ppg and 11 rpg. The team is 20-1 and ranked # 1 in the GISA Class A Division.

Ismaila Njie -It is rumoured that Njie is in Ohio taking classes sitting out the year. Supposidely, he will play next year somewhere. Libasse Basse Saye -A sophomore at Eastern Oklahoma State College where is averaging in single digits. The team is 7-10. LIbasse is being recruited by several Division 2 schools. Mohamed Conteh -A Little has been heard about Conteh other that he has one more year to go. Presently playing hs in Jackson ville at the Providence School.

Tijan Jobe -Butler Community College is 10-10 on the year and Tijan was barely playing. It is rumoured that he transferred at the break, but I can not confirm the rumour.

Alhaji Jaiteh -Rumoured to be somewhere in the Northeast playing out his senior year. Tried out for Mt Zion, but was unable to make the team.
