A Warrant Is Issued For Foxy Brown's Arrest

Friday, March 23, 2007
Rapper Foxy Brown is a wanted woman - a warrant has been issued for her arrest after she failed to appear in court yesterday. Brown was supposed to show in a Broward County, Florida court to face battery charges, and when she missed the deadline, a local judge issued a bench warrant for her arrest.

The assault charge stems from an alleged incident in a Florida beauty parlor when Brown, real name Inga Marchand, reportedly threw hair glue at the owner and then spat at him. Brown was arrested on suspicion of battery and violent obstruction following the alleged disturbance last month.

The rapper has denied spitting at shopkeeper Hayssam Ghoneim and resisting arrest. She was sentenced to three years probation in October for assaulting two manicurists at a New York nail salon in 2004. She was also ordered to undergo regular drug testing and attend anger management classes.
