Eleven women were on Wednesday, April 18, arraigned before Magistrate James George of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on charge of criminal trespass contrary to Section 285, Laws of The Gambia.

The women, who are Awa Gaye, Awa Bittaye, Fatou Secka, Maimuna Sanneh, Awa Cham, Fatou Faal, Ndey Fatou Faal, Fatou Jobe, Fana Secka, Isatou Danso, and Fatou Janka, on 31st January 2007, at Wellingara village, Western Region, did jointly and unlawfully entered the compound of Yassin Dem and insulted her. This thereby made her to be annoyed.

When the charge was read to them at the court, all the women pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against them. The case was then adjourned to Wednesday 9th May, for continuation.
