Orlando claim Lamin Norran Title

Orlando FC was crowned champions of the first edition of the Lamin Norran tournament held at Sanna Jatta’s Memorial Mini Stadium in Lamin.

The tournament, organized by Lamin Camara, a GFA/ FIFA referee, witnessed a tough final between Orlando FC and Golden Gate.

The game ended in a goalless draw and was later decided on post match penalty kicks, which went 4-2 in favor of Orlando FC.

Mr. Baboucarr A. Bojang, the secretary general of the organizing committee, revealed that this was the first tournament of its kind held in Lamin and 10 teams participated in the tournament.

He rated the tournament as good and commended all the teams for maintaining discipline in the field of play throughout the tournament.

At the end of the final, Orlando was awarded a giant trophy and a cash price of D3000.00 while Golden Gate received D2000.00. Wayeto FC was given a medallion as consolidate prize for winning the third position against Young Lamin FC.

Madam Peggy Barnard sponsored the trophy, medals and the Medallion of the tournament while Lamin Camara provided the cash prizes.
