SLOK-AIR Gambia Wins ‘Best Customer Friendly’ Award

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

Slok Air International Gambia Limited was recently awarded the Best West African Customer Friendly Airline for 2007 by the prestigious Institute of Direct Marketing in Nigeria.

“The award,” according to a media release from the company, “is a welcome endorsement of the airline’s unparalleled customer service as it was awarded in Nigeria where the airline is yet to commence flight operations.”

The release stated that the award, which was presented to the airline in Lagos, Nigeria, on 23 April 2007, did not come as a surprise considering the amount of resources which the management of Slok Air International had committed to the training of its staff, especially in customer relations, coupled with the enabling environment provided by the government and people of The Gambia.

The elated managing director of Slok Air International-Gambia Limited, Alhagie Abdulkarim Idris, has dedicated the award to all Gambians and the esteemed customers of the airline for their trust and confidence.

While thanking them for their continued support, Mr Idris expressed Slok’s intention to connect their passengers to more cities, especially in south and central Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

He also used the occasion to thank the President of The Gambia, His Excellency Dr Alhaji Yahya Jammeh, the Cabinet, the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority and all Gambians for providing the airline with all the necessary support to excel.
