Four Docked for Felony

Four alleged dealers in counterfeited gold dust were lately arraigned at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court for attempting to commit a felony in contravention of Section 368 of the Criminal Code, Cap.10, Vol.III of the laws of the land.

The quartet, Abdoulie Sillah, Seedy Muhammed Trawalleh, Malian Ceesay and Amadou Kanteh, were charged with the offence of attempting to defraud one Bami Kambi of 4,860 euros by disposing off a fake gold dust to him.

They denied the allegations but to enable them gain their liberty in the meantime, each were granted bail in the sum D100,000 with Gambian sureties who must surrender their title deeds.

The matter, presided over by magistrate Amina Saho-Ceesay, continues.
