High-profile journalists from various media houses in the country were last Monday invited at the Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort and Spa to have a first information about the state-of-the art internationally branded five-star hotel.

During the course of the visit, journalists were taken on a conducted tour of the facility. Ebou Waggeh, the hotel’s director of public relations was all-out taking time off to tell journalists all what they needed to know about the hotel before taking them to the restaurant for them to enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. 

Afterwards, a press conference with the General Manager of the hotel, Mrs. Jennifer Buhr was held.

In her speech at the press conference, the larger-than-life General Manager of Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort and Spa said that they are delighted to be in The Gambia, adding that they will show no sign of slowing down in contributing towards the growth of tourism in The Gambia.

Dr Saja Taal, Daily Observer Managing Director; Sam Obi; Daily Express Editor-in -chief and Alhagie Mbye, The Point’s Entertainment editor were among the contingent of journalists who attended the groundbreaking event.
