Gambia/Venezuela foundation registers success

Mr Amadou Cham, President of The Gambia/Venezuela Hugo Chavez Foundation, has revealed that the foundation has registered a tremendous amount of success in achieving their aims and objectives.

Mr Cham, in an interview with the Daily Observer noted that the foundation, which was legally registered with the AG Chambers in May 2007, has paid the medical bills for numerous people throughout the length and breadth of The Gambia.

 “We have agents all over the country assisting, especially the poor, in numerous ways and in all facets of life,” he said.

The Gambia/Venezuela Foundation President and founder further   noted that the foundation came as a result of the friendship existing between the two countries and their people.

“The Gambian leader and his Venezuelan counterparts share a lot in common. They are all revolutionaries, filled with die hard and unflinching love for their individual countries,” he said.

Mr Cham took the opportunity to call for patriotism in the interest of Africa and The Gambia as a whole. 

“We cannot have peace in the absence of love and unity. People must love each other and chart the way for peace and development,” he said.

He assured the public of his foundation’s open door policy to all and sundry. He finally revealed that the foundation has been self-sponsored since its inception.
