Sheriff Minteh’s Murder Case deferred

The ongoing criminal case involving Dodou Janneh for allegedly murdering the late Sheriff Minteh of London Corner was, on Monday January 7, 2007, deferred to January 14, 2008.  When the case was called before Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara of the Bundung Magistrates Court, Police Prosecutor Sergeant 772 Samateh applied for a stand down of the matter to enable him to bring the accused to court. When the case resumed after minutes, the matter could not proceed due to the absense of the defense counsel, Sheriff Tambadou.

It could be recalled that Dodou Janneh, alias Dodou Boy, is standing trial for allegedly murdering the late Sheriff Minteh, age 20 of London Corner on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.
