Applications are invited from suitably qualified Gambians to fill in the following vacancies in The Gambia Printing Corporation, GPPC.

1. Accountant

Duties /Responsibilities

a.  He/she shall be responsible for maintaining all books of Accounts and postings

b.  He/she shall assist in the day to day running of the Finance Department

c.  He/she shall produce monthly, quaterly, yearly reports and Financial statements

d.  He /she shall ensure proper filing and handling of all documents affecting the financial

transactions of the Corporation.

e.  He/she shall perform any other duty that may be assigned to him by the Director of Finance.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following:-

a.  ACCA Part 11 is highly preferred with 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position

b.  AAT final with at 5 years experience in a similar position in a reputable institution.

The Salary attached to the post is in Grade EBY Category E of the GPPC pay scale.

All applications must reach the Managing Director, GPPC headquaters, Alhajie Sankung Sillah Street, Kanifing not later than 15th January 2008.

2. Procurement Officer

Duties /Responsibilities

a.  He/she shall be reponsible for the procurement of both equipment and materials for all print
 production

b.  He/she shall ensure that all procurements are in compliance with both the Corporation and GPPA regulations.

c.  He/she shall ensure that all procurements are fully documented and processed accordingly.

d.  He/she shall prepare monthly, quaterly, and yearly procurement reports to GPPA

e.  Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Director

Qualifications

a.Applicants must possess at least an HND in Purchasing and supplies with a minimum of 3 years experience in a smiliar position in a reputable Organisation.b.  Diploma in purchasing and supplies or any other equivalent in a related field with 5 years

experience in a reputable Institution.

Salary attached to the post is in Grade EBY, Category E of the GPPC pay scale.
