Post 1: Senior Statistician: Consumer Price Index (CPI) (1 Position)

Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics or Economics (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience with at least one year’s proven work experience in the field of statistics

Personal Competences

Good organisational and problem solving skills

Team player who can work effectively and constructively with different people and institutions and deliver results

Strong user/client orientation

Post 2:    Senior Statistician: External Trade and Balance of Payments (BOP) (1 Position)


Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics or Economics (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience with at least two year’s proven responsibility in the field of statistics

Personal Competences

Sound management skills

Good organisational, problem solving and negotiation skills

Post 3:    Senior Statistician: Labour and Employment Statistics  (1 Position)

Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics and/or Social Sciences or Economics (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience with at least two year’s proven responsibility in the fields of statistics with proven competence in data processing and analytic capacity

Personal Competences

Good analytic skills and ability to manage information effectively

Post 4:    Senior Statistician: Tourism, Transport and Communication Statistics (1 Position)

Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics and/or Social Sciences or Economics (at Masters Level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Professional experience with at least two year’s proven responsibility in the fields of statistics with proven competence in data processing and analytic capacity

Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics and/or Demography (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience of at least two years with proven responsibility in the field of Census, Post Census and Demographic Surveys

Post 6:    Senior Statistician Gender Statistics (1 Position)

University degree in Statistics and/or Social Sciences (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience).

Post 7: Senior Statistician General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) / Dev Info coordination  (1 Position)

Educational Qualifications

University degree in Statistics and/or Social Sciences (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience with at least two years proven experience in the field of statistics

Knowledge of the GDDS and Dev Info systems and awareness of how to introduce the systems into GBOS

Personal Competences

Post 8:    Senior Public Relations Officer  (1 Position)

Educational Qualifications

Relevant university degree for example Public Relations and/or Communications (at Masters level or a first degree with at least one year’s post qualification work experience)

Work Experience

Professional experience of at least one year in the field of Public relations and Communications

Good reporting, presentational and analytic skills

Post 9:    Senior Financial Controller (1 Position)

University degree in Accounting, Public Finance and/or Management or equivalent
