Editor,
Can you kindly allow me a space in your on-line paper. I am a post-graduate student pursuing a Masters degree in Environmental Protection at The university of Salford in Manchester. I am recently impressed with Daily Observer under the leadership of Dida Halake.
It is only quantitative and objective journalism that shape the dynamic of sustainable human development confronting Africa. Some years ago I used to mirror journalism within the narrow domain of radicalism.
Dialecting within that context and putting critical reasoning into focus one of the literacy works of Great thinkers like Noam Chomsky stated that the political economy of the media is geared toward manifacturing its own conscience. Balance and responsible journalism to shape and dictate events and issues is the only ingredient to enrich democratic values.
I say job well done to Dida Halake and your team for provision news about events folding back home. We can agree and disagree on issues and that is the essence of academic and intellectual freedom.

Editor’s Note: Mr. Sanneh, when Dida Halake was appointed, you were the first to launch a false, malicious and vicious attack on him. He never responded but got on with the job. Daily Observer is satisfied that 54,849 readers hit on our website for news about The Gambia during the past 30 days – positive news. We, the whole Observer team of 65 staff from the watchman to the Board Chairman, are happy to serve them all - including you.
