The President of The Gambia Football Association, Seedy Kinteh, has been invited to serve as a match commissioner for the Senegal - Namibia friendly scheduled for Saturday, January 12, in Dakar, Observer Sports can reveal.
The two sides are using Saturday’s friendly as part of final preparations for the 26th edition of the African Nations Cup finals scheduled to take place in Ghana.
When contacted, Kinteh confirmed to Observer Sports that the Senegalese Football Federation invited him to commission the friendly which is expected to be the final friendly match for both sides ahead of the Ghana finals which will run from January 20 to February 10, 2008.
Senegal have been paired in Group D alongside the 2010 World Cup host, South Africa, Tunisia and the much improved Angola side in Africa’s most prestigious football competition. The Namibians will battle it out in Group A, alongside the host Ghana, Morocco and Guinea.
