According to Mr. Badjie, 20 football teams within Bakoteh and its environs registered for the tournament out of which six teams paid their registration fees. He said, the registered teams are the ones qualified to kick-off the tournament so far. He further said that, the tournament would be played at Bakoteh open field behind Bakoteh Proper and UpperBasicSchools. Mr. Badjie said no gate fee be collected during the matches because the field is without a fence. Mr. Badjie uttered that the ultimate objective of this initiative [the tournament] is to unit the youths of Bakoteh and KMC in general for the development of the country since youths are the back- bone of any country. Thus Mr. Badjie urged other teams in and outside Bakoteh to register with his football association, emphasising that the tournament is for every Gambian.He finally called on the residents of Bakoteh and the surrounding areas and all football communities to come out in large numbers to watch the matches during the tournament.
The teams that have already booked their ticket to the tournament are, under 15 from Dippa- kunda, Old hands –Nigerians and Sierra -Leonean combined, Freedom Fighters and Taliban both from Bakoteh, Fifa from Manjai- kunda and Na-tanga from Banjul.
