Speaking to Pointsports, the head of The Gambia national U 20 team, Lamin Sarr, said the tournament is organised to improve and develop football in West Africa.

He stated that his boys are ready for the Wafu football tournament to be hosted by Nigeria next month.

He further stated that boys will certainly perform to expectations in Nigeria next month and he called on Gambians to support the team both morally and financially.

And then he commended The Gambia Football Association for its tremendous contribution toward the development of football in The Gambia.
