Open Africa Embarks on Eye Operation Exercise

Open Farica, a UK based charitable organisation, on Wednesday embarked on a massive eye operation exercise at Gunjur Health Centre. The exercise was part of thir contribution to Gunjur and its environs.

Speaking to The Point, the chairman of Open Africa, Mr. Paul Stafford, said that the organisation started the operations in 2006. He revealed that they will continue to improve, educate and develop the lives of the people of Gunjur and its surrounding areas. He further revealed that they also support agriculture and have gardens in Madina Salam and Gunjur.

Speaking on behalf of the Alkalo of Gunjur, Alhagie Seban Cham hailed Open Africa for their benevolant contrbution towards the development of Gunjur. He prayed for peace, stability and progress to prevail in Gunjur and The Gambia at large.

For her part, Mrs. Janice Cairns said that they also sposor a football club in Madina Salam and that plans are underway to sink a borehole in Gunjur Sanbuyya. She expressed optimism that they continue their eye operation exercise annually.
