Dawda Darboe, alias DJ Saxon, and Lamin Jawneh, or otherwise Jah Cure, are hot on their musical promotion.
Speaking in an interview with Entertainment, DJ Saxon said music is one of his areas which he started at a very early stage. “I enjoy all kinds of music but my favourite is that of the Mbalax music which is a pure African music. Music is another learning centre where one can learn about new things in life and try to develop yourself. I did not only play music for entertaining but also to educate and salvage innocent people from messing up their lives,” he said.
For his part, DJ Jah Cure believes without music the world would have been a very confused place to live.
“Music can free your mind at a time when you are not in a good mood. It educates and entertains and is a real necessity for life,” he said.
They both express optimism that with support from the public they would do all they could to promote music in The Gambia especially the rural areas.
