Friday, February 1, 2008
Dawda Sarr, a Gambian Samaritan, based in Germany, recently decorated the Banjul highway from Denton Bridge towards Banjul with 114 traffic reflectors. Mr Sarr who was spotted putting the reflectors on the highway’s street poles himself, told the Daily Observer said it is incumbent upon every Gambian to work towards the development of The Gambiain.

“I want to save lives. I wish I can put up traffic reflectors on all the highways in The Gambia. It is very difficult to drive in The Gambia, most notably in the night. I want to encourage other Gambians to venture into some other areas of development,” he said.

It could be recalled that in August, 2007, Mr Sarr donated two digital alcohol testers worth D12,600 to The Gambia Police Force. FRI Jammeh, police adviser, received the items on behalf of the Police force.
