Gambia - S/Africa friendly cancelled

The proposed international football friendly between The Gambia under 20 team and the South Africa under 20 has been called off, reports reaching Observer Sports desk have revealed. The keenly-awaited tie which was scheduled for Saturday, February 24, in Banjul was earlier proposed by the 2010 world cup hosts. “South Africa made the proposal and we accepted it. It is the same South Africa who wrote to us requesting for the cancellation of the friendly until further notice,” Jammeh Bojang secretary-general of The Gambia Football Association told Observer Sports.
