A three-classroom block was commisioned, last Sunday, in Sotokoi village at a ceremony held at the Wilma Foundation Nursery School. The initiative, pioneered by Wilma, a Dutch philanthropist, constitute an immense project estimated to over 25,000 Euros. The project is meant to give free education to students at Wilma Foundation Nursery school in Sotokoi village.
Speaking on behalf of Wilma, Monika Kersten highlighted their desire to help the community of Sotokoi. According to her, their main objective is to help young children with a good educational foundation capable of creating a brighter future for them. She added that the young people are the future leaders of next generation. She also thanked the contribution of the villagers, who spared no efforts to ensure the success of the project.
Omar Bah, chairman of the Parent Teachers Association, who also spoke on behalf of Samba Sowe the Alkalo of Sotokoi village expressed delight and thanked Wilma for making the project a reality. He also assured that Sotokoi community will live up to expectations in making good use of the nursery school.
