GTB Staff Pay’s Courtesy Call to The Point

A group of three senior staff of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) yesterday paid a courtesy on The Point Newspaper.

The group, led by Ms Mama Fatima Singhateh, head of Corporate Affairs Department included Tijane Conteh, a senior Banking Officer, Public sector Banking and Babou Gai.

According to Ms Singhateh, the visit was designed to further cement the already cordial relationship between the two institutions.

She indicated that it is customary that they pay visits annually to organisations that have been supportive of their operations.

She maintained that the team was there to thank the management of The Point and wish them a happy 2008. She added that the visit was also meant to formally introduce herself as the new as the new Corporate Affairs head and also to solicit the cooperation and support of partners.

 For his part, Tijane Conteh stated that GTB has taken its efforts to another level to see to it that their clients are satisfied.

He maintained that GTB products are tailor-made to suit their growing number of clients.

According to him, the GTB was the first to introduce what he called Smart Kid Save, which makes it possible for young kids to open saving accounts, which has now become a culture in all other banks in the country.

He added that they are not only focusing on organizations, but on individuals in the organizations. He said that they provide products ranging from simple products such as Current Accounts, Fixed Deposits, Call Accounts and Salary Accounts. He added that they have other services like, Time Loans and Letters of Credit among other things.

He indicated that they are forced by their stance to always make things easier for their clientele by building a new branch at Jimpex which is expected to be opened in March.
