Lang Tombong Tamba Now Major General

President of The Gambia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh yesterday promoted Lang Tombong Tamba, the Chief of Defence Staff of the Armed Forces, from Brigadier General to Major General. Major General Tamba, is the first Gambian ever to reach this high profile rank. The promotion of General Tamba follows a recent mass promotion of personnel carried out in the army.
