Little Jainaba, the 2-year-old girl who is currently receiving treatment in Dakar, Senegal, due to her suffering from tumor, which scan reveals that there is a big umhomogenes hyper dense mass that involve her left eye, has continued to receive more donations from both individuals and associations within and offshore Gambia.
The latest to arrive at the Daily Observer newspaper was a message from Ms Serreh Faal, a Gambian in the USA, who had previously and solely donated the sum of D10,000 towards the treatment of the girl. Ms. Serreh has facilitated another donation which came from Mr George Ndekey of The Gambia Christian Peoples Association in Washington DC, USA.
Through the campaign by Mr Ndekey, the association raised the sum of $450 while few of the Gambians residing at the Metro Atlanta area added $60 towards the cause and therefore made the total amount to be D10,500.
Ms Faal in her message to the Daily Observer has thanked and lauded the newspaper for their role in taking up the initiative to published Jainaba Jallow’s plight that attracted general assistance from the people.
