Thursday, March 6, 2008
Madi Jorbateh, the head of Corporate and Public Affairs at the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has made clarifications regarding the GRA theft story in our Tuesday edition.

According to him, the first convict “Mr Paul Patrick Gomez was never a full-time or permanent employee of GRA. He was only hired occasionally on temporary contract as a data-entry clerk at the Department of Domestic Taxes. Kawsu Bojang, his accomplice in the theft, has never worked for or been employed by GRA in any capacity.

This claification is important for the good reputation of our staff and the institution. We may also add that all losses were recovered from this theft and we lost nothing”.
