Late Captain Tumbul Tamba, former Principal  Protection Officer to the President passed away one year ago on the 26th April 2007.

He is warmly remembered by his family,    His Excellency  the President,  Major General Lang Tombong Tamba, colleagues in the Gambia Armed Forces, and by his many friends and well wishers amongst the Gambian public and, not least, by the MD of the Daily Observer who was a personal friend.

There will be a recitation of the Holy Quran in his memory  today at 9am at Honourable Seedy Njie’s residence in Churchill’s Town.

The Late Tumbul’s  family will also be organising a memorial gathering this weekend. Friends who wish to attend are asked to contact the family to confirm.
