The United States Peace Corps Director, Ron Tcshetter has said that his office will regularly post their volunteers to Mandinaba to help them on skills training. Director Tcshetter made this revelation last Saturday in Mandinaba during a meeting with the Mandinaba Women Re-cycling Group (MWRG), a group devoted to the cof waste plastic bags in to wallets and bags.
Director Tcshetter commended the women and further urged them to keep up their good work. He stated that he was inspired by the Peace Corps Country Director in The Gambia, Mike McConnell to come and witness the activities of the Mandinaba women. He advised the women to work hard and vow that his office will always send volunteers to the village to work with them.
For her part, Kaddy Sanyang Sanneh, Chairperson of the Mandinaba women Re-cycling group said the group was formed eight months ago aimed to recycle activities used plastic bags into useful materials for sale.
Mrs Sanyang- Sanneh underscored that her group also took part in monthly set-setal and during they do gather the waste plastic bags to be re-cycle. She then commended Lesly Copeland, a Peace Corps volunteer posted at mandinaba and one of the founders of the group for her assistance to the group.
