Wallidan remain on top of the Division One League table following Real de Banjul and Samger’s failure to garner the desire points in their respective matches over the weekend.
The Blue Boys down Africell-Sait Matty 2-1 in their Friday encounter to climb top. But their stay would have been temporal if their close contenders had won their respective matches the following day.
To the delight of Wallidan faithfuls, however, Samger were held by the relegation-threatened side, Interior, on Saturday, a result that dampened Samger’s hope in the race for the title, while Real de Banjul and Ports Authority also settled for a goalless draw in the last set of Week Thirteen fixtures on Sunday.
