D50,000 bail bond for alleged counterfeiter

Abdou Kudus Jobe, a resident of Serekunda, was yesterday given bail at the tune of D50,000 for being found in possession of counterfeited banknotes.

The Bundung Magistrates’ Court, to be chaired by Kumba Sillah- Camara, will try Abdou Kudus on charges of possession of D1000 fake banknotes in D100 denomination.

He was, according to court records, arrested on 7 December 2007, at Serekunda London Corner but had denied the charges when particulars of his alleged offence were related to him.

He is due in court on 18 June 2008
