In what could be seen as a move towards deterring others, the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court chaired by Principal Magistrate Buba Jawo recently fined one Kabirr Jatta the sum of D500 in default to serve one month imprisonment for obstructing court proceeding.

According to Magistrate Jawo, every body is bound to keep silence within the court premises and that anyone found to be a culprit will be dealt accordingly. He added that ignorance of the law is not an excuse, noting that the culprit had no discipline and respect.
