Boy needs overseas medical treatment

Sutura Joof, a 22-year old native of Banjul needs overseas medical treatment after having been diagnosed with kyphoscolosis on 31st July, 2008, at RVTH, Banjul.

A medical report from the RVTH indicates that Sutura Joof has severe pain around the thoraxic and lumbar spine from juvenille idiopathic scoliosis when he was 4 years old.

“The high thoraxic curves cause severe deformity, such as elevation of the shoulder, prominence of the right scapula and right thoraxic, gibba projection of the ribs or razor back deformity on the convex side of the curve. .He can now only have better treatment overseas.

Investigation and the treatment are not possible in this hospital,” the medical report stated.

Africmed Ltd, another quality health-care service centre, also issued a report which indicated that the treatment recommended can take place in Germany and that he would need 30,000 Euros to carry out the surgery and purse rehablitation..The health-care service centre also noted that 18,000 Euros should be deposited to demonstrate that the rest of the payment could be done before  taking him to Germany.
