Gambia U-17 Move to Camp With 22 Players

The national U17 team, better know as the baby scorpions, last evening moved to camp ahead of their crucial game against Sierra Leone for the first leg in the CAF Youth Championship qualifiers slated for 30th August 2008, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Speaking to Pointsports, the Head Coach of The Gambia national U17 team, Tarik Siagy, said that his boys are ready for their weekend encounter against Sierra Leone team and express optimism that his boys would certainly work away with a victory at the end of 90 minutes. The coach further revealed that he and his technical team will do their best to see The Gambia U17 team beat the visiting team by many goals. He then appealed to Gambians to come out in large numbers to support the boys.
