FA Cup resumes today

The quarter-final matches in the 2008 Gamtel sponsored FA Cup championship will start today with three fixtures at hand.

Champions, Ports Authority, who progressed to the quarter-finals at the expense of Bakau United will take on Flamemins at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium today, while Kaira Silo face Steve Biko at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium. In another fixture today,   Seaview will face Wallidan at the Independence Stadium.

The last quarter-final fixture will be played tomorrow, when SK East take on fellow Division Two side, Flamemins.

The FA Cup third round matches were gripped by a series of stunning upsets as as sequence of big names crashed out.

Top flight giants like Real de Banjul, Gamtel, Armed Forces and Hawks were all among the third round casualties.
