One Amadou Kah was formally charged and arraigned before Magistrate John Njie of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for stealing a sheep, a charge he denied.
When enquired by the Magistrate as to whether he stole the sheep. In response, the accused told the court that he had his Gambian sheep and wanted to exchange with that of one Mbye Kah who had a Senegalese sheep. Further quizzed by the Magistrate as to why he was in exchange rate with a suspected stolen sheep, he said he not steal the sheep, but was only interested in exchanging with a Senegalese sheep.
Meanwhile the accused was granted court bail in the sum of D2500.
The case was adjourned until 2nd September 2008.
