Burglar Jailed

Bundung Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara on 9th September 2008 convicted and sentenced one Lamin Manneh of Brufut to two years imprisonment with hard labour for housing breaking and stealing.

According to the particulars of the case, on 18th August 2008, at Brufut Town, the convict broke into the house of one Saikou Fatty and therein stole three quarter jeans valued at D200, one long jeans valued at D500, one T-shirt valued at D200 , long T-shirt valued at D200 a pair of shoes valued at D400,and a four-battery radio cassette player valued at D400, all being the property of Saikou Fatty.

In a separate development one Alhagie Sanneh of Nema-Kunkun was also arraigned at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court charged with stealing.

The facts of the case revealed that in the month of July 2008, at Nema-Kunkun, the accused with others at large, stole D3000 and 30,000 CFA from the house of one Kumba Mbowe, a charge he denied.
