The Gambia’s US based hip-hop giant, MoeBlac aka Muhammed Mbowe, has expressed his interest to establish a standard video recording studio in the country to contribute his quota towards the country’s show-biz development.
According to him, this new studio, dubbed "Plasta Inc.", will carry out many video related works, such as video productions, video editing, graphic designs, professional photography and modeling, among other areas of interests.
In an interview with What’s On, last Tuesday, at his Kanifing Estate residence, the hip-hop rap star revealed that the studio would be fully operational by December or the beginning of next year.
"After spending 14 years in the US, I considered it important to come down to The Gambia and share my experience with my colleagues. By doing this, I will contribute positively to the country’s entertainment industry," he said.
MoeBlac further revealed that after the successful opening of this studio, he will open another recording studio.
According to him, video production in the US is doing fine, adding that it is also important for him to share his talents and even invest in the country’s music sector.
The young hip-hop star, who is also a professional video producer himself, further revealed that he has been involved in video production since his 10th grade.
" I intend to make this studio a high standard one as it will also incorporate a high speed internet café. Right now, I have secured many equipment for this studio and I think video production is something I like doing. Also, I have already secured some of the software that Hollywood video producers use to do their productions, so you know I am talking about quality service delivery. I was actively engaged in this sector and have done it for many big time artistes even the Jamaican reggae-dancehall icon-Sizzla just to name a few," he said.
On his music business, MoeBlac said he is currently busy on his second album which he intends to drop in the market any time from now.
"Right now, I have recorded some thrilling songs at Bulldorf Records to be part of this much anticipated album. However, this coming album is somehow related to The Gambia because I will include many cultural songs. It will also feature some Gambian big artistes like Singateh aka Freaky Joe and Ooz, another fine Gambian star based in the United States of America," he revealed.
MoeBlac added that his forthcoming album will contain 16 or 18 tracks, noting that the video for this second album has already been shot in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
According to him, the music industry in the country is doing fine.
He urged the fans to keep supporting young artistes. “I want to tell all my fans to keep supporting me and expect anything new from me at any time," he concluded.
