Suggested beatitudes for The Gambia

Tuesday, September 2, 2008
Blessed are those who portray the image of the country in good light to outsiders and well wishers, for they shall be rewarded for their good spirit.

Blessed are those who obey the country’s laws, for they shall be the pride of the government of the country as good citizens.

Blessed are those (juniors) who obey their bosses (seniors) regardless of the seniors’ age and size, for they shall be seniors too and command obedience.

But woe to those bosses (seniors) who abuse and maltreat their juniors for their kindred shall be maltreated somehow, somewhere, at some point.

Blessed are those who obey the country’s laws both in trouble and out of trouble for respect is not fear, and shall be in turn respected.

Blessed are the cabinet members who work tirelessly for the development of the country, for praises and honour they will receive from the citizen.

Woe to people who commit murder and infanticide, for they shall be punished in the world and hereafter.

So let us be well-wishers and good ambassadors of The Gambia.
Dedicated to all peace loving Gambians.
